Our Contract with You

When you place an order with us, you're letting us know you'd like to buy our product(s). We'll send you an order acknowledgement to confirm we got your order. However, your order is only officially accepted when your product(s) are ready to leave our warehouse and head your way.

While we always strive to fulfil every order, there are rare occasions when we might need to unavoidably decline or offer an alternative. This could happen if there's a pricing error, or if the specific model you want isn't available. If this ever happens, we'll promptly refund you the full amount you paid.

We do reserve the right not to accept an order for any reason, but please know we aim to make this a rare exception. If it does occur, we won't be liable to you or anyone else. We appreciate your understanding and are here to help with any questions or concerns!

Availability

You'll find the availability of our products displayed on our website along with estimated delivery dates. Please note that for the earliest available delivery day shown before checkout, there might be postcode restrictions in place. To get the most accurate delivery date tailored to your location, simply enter your postcode during checkout.

All our product prices include VAT but exclude delivery and additional services like packaging recycling, disconnection, removal, recycling of your old product, or installation of your new product, unless stated otherwise on our website. Occasionally, we offer products at sale or promotional prices. These deals apply to selected items and are subject to availability. Delivery charges, conditions, and geographical restrictions may apply. Please check individual product information for pricing.

You can redeem these special codes on wellingtonshomeelectrical.com and in-store, but there is only one code use, per order. If you need to return part of an order with a discount code, your refund will be the full amount minus the discount applied.

Delivery

Wellingtons Electrical Delivery brings convenience straight to your home! When you shop with us, you have the flexibility to select your preferred delivery date from the options available on our website. Plus, you'll easily find applicable delivery charges displayed during checkout. We do not charge for delivery across our free delivery postcode zones (see here) except on small appliances where there is a flat fee of £4.00 across the UK (excluding remote parts of Scotland and the Scottish Highlands). Our Next Day delivery and specified morning or afternoon time slots are subject to availability, which you can check during checkout. Keep in mind that adding installation or other services may affect the earliest delivery date or Next Day options available.

For smaller items, we may use Evri, known for their exceptional service.

With Wellingtons Electrical, your satisfaction is our priority. You have the flexibility to make changes to your order for large items until the deadline specified on your Order Confirmation email. However, for small items, amendments are not always possible between payment and delivery, but we will do our best.

Remember, it's important to ensure someone is available to accept your delivery within the provided timeslot. Failure to do so may result in additional charges or cancellation of your order.

Pre-Ordering a Product

When you pre-order a product, you're not just reserving it, you're ensuring you're among the first to get your hands on it.

Payment is taken at the time of pre-order. During checkout, you'll have the chance to pick a delivery date that suits you best, starting from the incoming day. Keep in mind that the dates are set by the manufacturers and may be subject to change. While we will keep you informed, we can't be held liable for any changes in incoming dates.

Our standard refund policy applies to pre-order products, and availability is subject to stock.

Please note that our Price Match Promise doesn't apply to pre-order items.

Disconnection

Need help disconnecting old appliances? We offer disconnection services for select appliances.

If you've opted for disconnection, there are a few steps to prepare before our arrival. For instance, defrosting and emptying refrigerators, removing clothes from washing machines, or clearing dishes from dishwashers.

Remove & Recycle

Opting for our Remove & Recycle service? If you haven't chosen our disconnection service, please ensure your appliance is disconnected (and defrosted if necessary) before we arrive. For TVs, simply detach them from stands or brackets for easy removal.

The cost of this service covers safe transportation to be recycled, in compliance with WEEE regulations. Alternatively, you can return your used appliance to our warehouse for recycling, free of charge, provided it matches the product delivered. Installation

Thinking about installation? We've got you covered for most of our products. However, there are a few conditions to keep in mind. For instance, we can't connect new items if certain electrical or plumbing supplies fail testing or are unsuitable. Similarly, we may need to charge extra if adjustments are required to fit the appliance properly.

Keep an eye out for special installation promotions, which may include discounted or free installation services.

Conditions for Gas and Electric Installation

At Wellingtons Electrical, our team of Gas Safe engineers are not just experts in gas installations but also proficient in electrical connections, ensuring your new cookers, range cookers, hobs, and ovens are installed safely and efficiently. Cancellations, Returns & Exchanges

At Wellingtons Electrical, we understand that sometimes plans change, and we're here to make the process as easy as possible for you.

If you've had a change of heart about your product after delivery, just let us know within 14 days, and we'll arrange a refund for the cost of the product. That gives you plenty of time to decide. We want you to be happy with your purchase!

To cancel an order and request collection, you have a couple of options. You can either give us a call at 01322 344100/0208 4667776, or you can email erith@wellingtonselectrical.co.uk / bromley@wellingtonselectrical.co.uk

We'll provide you with an estimated timeslot on the morning of your collection, so you know when to expect us. Please make sure someone is available at your chosen pick-up address for our driver to collect the return item(s). We don't want to miss you!

If you return your product to us unused and in its original packaging, we'll give you a full refund. We understand you might want to unpack and inspect your item, just like you would in a shop. However, if the product has been used beyond what's reasonably necessary to inspect it, we may need to make a partial refund.

For hygiene reasons, we can only refund personal care items if they're returned to us unused and with hygiene seals intact.

We aim to process refunds within 14 days of collecting the item.

Please keep in mind a few additional points:

Exchanges are easy with Wellingtons Electrical. We'll collect your old item when we deliver the new one, with no additional collection charge.

Failed Delivery, Re-Delivery & Collection Charges

Sometimes things don't go as planned, but we're here to help make it right.

If we miss a delivery or can't complete a service because you're not available during the agreed timeslot, or for any other reason that's within your control, there may be charges for re-delivery or collection. Our charges vary depending on your location and the service required, but we'll always keep you informed of the cost before you proceed.

You can amend your order for free up until the evening before delivery. If you need to change your delivery date or time after this point, a re-delivery charge may apply.

For certain products like small appliances, selected TV & entertainment, computing, and smart tech orders, there are restrictions on cancellations or amendments between payment and delivery. But don't worry, you can refuse delivery when it arrives, and we'll take it back free of charge. Alternatively, you can arrange a return after delivery, with applicable collection charges.

If you change your mind about a product after delivery and need us to collect it for a return, a collection charge may apply. Full details of our returns and refunds process can be found in the Cancellations, Exchanges & Refunds section above.

Remember, none of these charges affect your statutory rights.

If Products are Faulty

We understand that faults can happen, and we're here to make it right for you.

If you discover a fault with your product within 30 days of delivery, just let us know, and you can return it for a full refund, or we'll arrange for a repair or replacement.

If a fault is found after 30 days but within 6 months of delivery, you can choose to have the product repaired or replaced. In some cases, if repair or replacement isn't possible, you may be eligible for a partial refund.

For faults discovered after 6 months, you'll need to prove that the fault was present at the time of delivery. If confirmed, we'll offer the same options for repair or replacement as within the first 6 months.

We work closely with manufacturers to resolve faults, and sometimes we may ask you to contact them directly for assistance. Remember, most products come with a manufacturer warranty, usually covering repairs for at least 1 year.

Exceptional Circumstances

At Wellingtons Electrical, we understand that sometimes circumstances beyond our control can affect our ability to fulfil our obligations. Here's what you need to know:

Events such as strikes, civil unrest, natural disasters, or disruptions to transportation or telecommunication networks may impact our ability to meet our commitments under these terms. In such cases, our obligations will be temporarily suspended, and we'll work to find solutions and minimize any delays.

Our Liability To You

We're committed to providing exceptional 5 star service, but we recognise that mistakes can happen. Here's how we handle our responsibilities:

If our team accidentally damages anything during the installation process, we'll take care of repairs. However, we can't fix any pre-existing faults or damage we discover during installation.

In the rare event that a fault with a cooling appliance leads to food loss or damages secondary items, we will reimburse you for up to £250 if you provide evidence of the issue.

For computing products or game consoles that lose saved data due to a fault, we can't accept liability for the loss. If your device needs to be returned to us or the manufacturer, it will be reset to factory settings, and data will be lost. We recommend regularly backing up your data to avoid any inconvenience.

Please note that we only supply products for domestic and private use, and we're not liable for any loss of profit, business interruption, or similar business-related issues.

However, we don't exclude liability for certain situations, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, breach of statutory terms related to the Sale of Goods Act 1979, or defective products covered under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.
